As a native of Indiana, I attended Purdue University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  I also completed my Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis as I began working in Human Resources.  Even though I knew at 15 I wanted to be a therapist, I combined my psychology and business education within "Corporate America" as a Human Resources professional.  After more than 15 years in that career, I decided to refocus on my true passion:  counseling people in the context of their whole ​life, not just their career life. When I decided to make that change, I then completed my Master’s degree in Education Counseling at North Carolina State University, concentrating in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.    

With experience in community and group practice settings, I now enjoy partnering with clients in a private practice setting.  Additionally, I have worked with senior citizens over the years in a volunteer capacity.  Through this work, I have helped older adults and adult children who are dealing with illness, loss, grief and bereavement as well as life role changes.  

I welcome adults of all ages, as well as couples,  into an environment that is confidential, accepting and nonjudgemental - creating a space where you can address whatever concerns you may be facing.  Life may be challenging at times but the good does not have to be overshadowed by the bad.  Regain balance and peace today.
